BlackBerry Bold 9900 – Bundle 1149 Update

Research in Motion have advised that a software update for the BlackBerry Bold 9990 handset is now available. This is a maintenance release, designed to address minor bugs. Your day to day experience with your device will not change.

What’s included in the update?

This update contains minor bug fixes and performance enhancements.

Things to do before you upgrade your software

  • Ensure your BlackBerry is fully charged before upgrading your software
  • Remember to back up your device via BlackBerry Desktop Manager prior the upgrade

How to perform the update

1. From your PC, download the latest versions of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and Handheld Software and install directly to your desktop. Click here to visit the BlackBerry Software Download Portal.
2. Connect your BlackBerry to your PC
3. Follow the steps as prompted by Desktop Manager on your PC

      Hi Paul, as I mentioned in my reply to your previous comment, the OTA-SL process is currently undergoing final testing and we hope to make the update available wirelessly in the coming weeks.

    Great to see Vodafone passing on the new software to us! In regards to updating wirelessly I believe its certainly possible – doing it now. Haha.

    Is vodafone going to carry the new BlackBerry Z10 phones? If so then when can we expect them to arrive? I have heard reports that they are not. If this is true I will have to switch to Telstra/Optus as I really want this phone ASAP!!!
