    Hey,

What happened to the Waverley Gardens 3G850 site that was listed as “in testing” in last week’s report? It’s no longer listed as testing, nor is it listed as a new site that’s gone active.

        Hey Michael,

Just to clarify, there was a minor issue earlier this month regarding Waverley Gardens, so our team has begun an investigation on it and are working on new on air dates. Check out our weekly network updates for news on Waverley Gardens 3G850.

        Hope this helps.

I posted this a week ago and have not had a reply…

I am curious in regards to the 3G coverage stability. I use my phone heavily for internet usage in many different areas. Recently I have been checking the coverage checker for areas that I have been using the internet to find that the areas I have been in are indeed covered as much as 3-5 out of 5.

Whilst there are times where internet conects and speeds are good, the connections are laden with time-outs and drop-outs making it near impossible to connect with some applications. I have spoken to many others who have had similar problems.

Why are there so many dropouts with the 3G internet? It is so unstable it makes it difficult, and frustrating, to do *anything*. This is not just limited to the one area either..

Why is there virtually no upgrades in Queensland, does vodafone think their only sustomers are in NSW and VIC? No wonder everybody is leavinbg vodafone and going to Telstra… think I will be doing the same when my contract is up next week !!!!

    Hi
I noticed in previous posts that Robina Qld were getting to towers one was at Robina Town Centre and the other stated somewhere in Robina. The one at Robina Town Centre is up and running and has not improved my reception in Robina. I was wondering how far before the other Robina tower comes on line and will it improve the reception in the Robina area. thanks

    Hi
I have been a vodafone customer for about 8 years and have just resigned another contract for another 2 years. vodafone. While friends where changing to one of the other 2 telcos I have stayed with Voda. Even noticing that Vodafones customer service went backwards after both Vodafone and 3 merged sending customer call centres overseas to india. A few weeks ago I noticed an upgrade planned for Newtown NSW to 3G 850. Great! I thought… Still my reception is really bad. Is there any other planed upgrades and how long will this bad recepton last?

what about improving coverage for your regional customers??? It’s pointless that we stay with Vodafone when we have to go to the end of our driveway to get enough coverage to even send or receive a text. That coupled with very patchy reception when out and about & it being near impossible to access the internet from the phone.. I think we’ll be jumping ship as soon as our contracts are up (we know for sure that Telstra customers have ample coverage in our area – why doesn’t vodafone?)

    Hi,

When I purchased my iPhone two months ago I was told the lilydale area would be getting upgraded to the new 850 network in a month. I currently have lousy coverage, I checked the coverage map lilydale is not in the 850 area, nor is it listed (or any other surrounding suburb) as a future upgrade. Is there any long term plans to upgrade lilydale?

With all these wonderful upgrades going on, I’m a little confused as to why for the last year my service has been nothing short of crap. I just looked at the covereage checker on the website, and I’m apparently in a “2 bar coverage indoor area”. With 3 different Voda phones in front of me all reporting no service I find it hard to believe.

I’m sick of paying for a service ( ? ) that I can barely use these days.

pity the coverage checker isnt accurate, it says i have coverage in my house but i have no coverage at my house, the call center has told me that i dont have coverage at my house and only 2g in my area, this is incorrect as less than 100m from my house i have 3g.

the call center also was of no help at all when i asked if a antenna could be supplied to me to help me get mobile reception and again no help was supplied.

i only changed over to vodaphone because the coverage checker shows me that i have coverage at my house, i was with telstra which does have coverage at my house.

not happy with the service of vodaphone so far, hope it gets better and quickly as i need my mobile phone at my house as i live in a bushfire area.

I have had problems with Vodafone for ages – live in Hornsby. I am currently receiving a repeated message saying that I had insufficient credit for a phone call. I have full credit and have for weeks. Also I was talking to my daughter today (she lives in Marrickville NSW) and the calls kept dropping out. Also, she never received my messages and I hadn’t received hers … and she was unable to call me yesterday! Calls often drop out with Vodafone. What is going on? This is not good enough.
