New Series – Download or Delete: Radiant HD review

A new app review series that tells it to you straight, should you download or delete? This week our new resident Android game reviewer plays Radiant HD, which brings retro back to the shoot ’em up genre.

Whether or not you remember pumping coins into arcade machines in the 80’s, this modern version of a retro classic will have older gamers reliving their youth and younger ones loving the simplity and hype.

Radiant HD (available for Android and iPhone) is your classic shoot ’em up game that pays respect to one of the most original games out there – Space Invaders.

Featuring minimalist 8-bit inspired graphics and super easy controls, Radiant HD will leave you free to be immersed in exactly what this game is for – mindlessly blasting everything on the screen.

Short bursts of storyline inject humour and add depth w hile upgrade options keep the formula fresh. It will keep you on the hunt for coins so you can unleash even more destruction on the alien hordes.

Things I liked about Radian HD:

  • Quality soundtrack and smooth graphics
  • Upgradable weapons
  • Funny storyline

This game runs smooth as silk on my GALAXY Nexus and is one of the few games to keep my attention long enough for me to finish it! I only hope the publisher continues to add new levels and weapons.

Download or Delete? Definitely download.
