We know many of you out there who have pre-ordered the the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v are wondering what is happening with their order. We have answered this on our Community Forum where you can check out some FAQs regarding this and join the conversation there as well.

Below is the email we sent to all pre-registered customers with the phone number you need to call to pre-order your Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v.

Just to add another data point, I rang up around 9:45AM on the 20th and after a 10m wait on the phone the guy had everything sorted out straight away, no problems. Although I haven’t received my order confirmation email… I think hey got my email wrong – but as long as I get my tablet in the first week of May I’ll be happy.

I have placed my order and just called today to get an update and they advised the order is on hold and that the account has been created. I assume that meanse everything is ok.

I’m with Brad, I pre-ordered on the 18th april. the phone operator told me the galaxy tab was in stock and would be sent straight away she said i may even get it before easter. as yet i havent received it. i was not expecting it before the 1st may, but now i am confused should i be expecting it yet? when i check the track your order page the last update was on the 18th april 7:16pm saying order in progress so nothing helpful there either

  Sorry for the confusion but we mentioned on all our communication that shipment will begin from May 1. IF you have pre-ordered in the 18th, and the process has been successful, you should be in the first shipment starting from May 1.

I was told over the phone that there has been a delay and the tablets will not arrive in the country till Sunday?

Seeing that monday is a public holiday, we wouldn’t receive them till around the Wednesday 4th… Kind of defeats the purpose of the pre-order doesn’t it?

    If there has been a delay it will be quiet typical of vodfail! that will be the second delay. I may just cancel me order now.Xoom launching in a few days ne way. Also telstra keeps to their word.unlike vodafone. This launch has been a joke. This is not a product launch. its a launch failure!

i called them on last week and they told me the same thing, but i don’t think they know anything about this pre-order tablet since the call center located outside Australia?

And they keep mentioning you can choose another handset if this handset is not available… i was like… handset? i thought it was a tablet

Anyway, i hope there is no delay. can’t wait any longer!

I too just spoke to your reps on the phone and was addresses in a dismissive and condescending manner. The rep said “They will start shipping *from* today, that does not mean they will ship today and you were advised of this and the situation has not changed”.

She also advised me that my order was on hold until they receive some more stock and refused to comment on when that might be.

Can this company ever get communications between their departments right? It’s always frustrating dealing with Vodafone

I was given assurances when ordering on the 19th April that my order would ship on 2nd May. My order tracking still shows no update since the 19th April, so I guess that means it won;t be shipped today as promised.
Do I get to cancel my order now and get a Xoom instead?

Why hasnt the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v been shipped yet, first it was advertised that it would be available in stores from April 20th, then that was changed to it being shipped from the 1st, and I just spoke to a rep on at vodafone, and it still has been delayed again. Furthermore, the employee was INSTRUCTED to say the delays were caused due to the easter break. There isnt a simple person who works in logistics who doesnt take holidays into consideration when making estimated delivery dates. If the person at vodafone did not take such a simple thing into consideration, please fire him/her. The inaccurate dates and delays are getting on my nerves.

I actually didn’t expect it to ship 2nd of may… But it would be nice to know a bit more. At least if there will be a proper notification before delivery.

And I also really didn’t like “credit checks” procedure. Normally I am not giving away information when someone with unidentified number calls and ask for my personal details.
