Skype now available on Android

Skype is now available in the Android Market for Android devices 2.1 and up. The app includes calling and instant messaging to any single person or a group of your Skype contacts.

Although Skype does not seem to be a download hog, probably recommend to use it with Wi-Fi over 3G if possible; helps to avoid unexpected high bills. Visit skype.com/m on your phone to download,

That’s all well and good, but are you ever going to throw us early Android adopters a bone and release 2.1 for the Magic/Dream/Hero?

Or are you going to give us free early upgrades when the Desire HD is eventually released?

      Hi Meagan,

Thanks for your question, unfortunately the Skype application on Vodafone will not be available for the HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy Note.

This doesn’t mean you can’t download the generic application make by Skype https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skype.raider&hl=en however you will incur data charges which will be taken out from your allocated data allowance (if your rate plan includes data).

      Cheers
