The plans look good but what is Vodafone going to offer those that what to upgrade their current iPhones? What deals are you going to do for customers like myself that want to upgrade to a phone that will work where we live?

I am really disappointed that Vodafone have not allowed 12 month contracts this time around.

    Why not Vodafone?
It’s cheaper to buy a new iPhone outright and continue on my current contract then cancel and upgrade, why is this Vodafone?

Look – Even Telstra have 12 month contracts. I would like to let your management know that I am calling your “upgrades team” to find out my payout and will leave your company on Friday. This is really disappointing and I will never be a VMA customer again.

We’ll this is obviously just the early details. They have said they will announce properly what the plans are tomorrow. Most of Voda’s phone plans come with about 500mb for a $49 cap. So if they’re gonna give us an extra 1gb that’s freaking sweet.

The bonus is on top of what they already give which shows it there…eg. $99 plan u get 1gb plus the bonus of another 1gb which = 2gb in total

The “bonus data” is data that you get gifted on a per-month basis.

For example, for the $49 plan, you will get 1GB bonus worth of data free to use during your monthly billing cycle, in addition to the 500MB that’s provided with the plan.

Obviously, all this is not carried forward to the following month (just like how the credit for most of the “Caps” work).

If you are/were a 3 customer who bought the 3GS, then you would probably know how this works :)

@shayne: Yes, it’s bonus — probably your thanks should go to the 3 team for giving VF the idea to include this…

At the same time, the 3 Cap plans now also include a base data allowance PLUS the existing bonus 1GB data.

So I guess mergers can be good, sometimes… ;)

Can you use the $800 worth of calls on the monthly $79 plan to make international calls? I notice that the $800* has a little * next to it and says you can use it for ‘international voice’ (is that international calls?). And if so can you also get this on the $99 unlimited plan? Because the unlimited plan has a ** next to it and doesn’t mention including international phone calls.

Of course you get the bonus data for 24 mths !! That would be silly to get it for a month only. $49 plan is the best out of the all the networks. I’ll be upgrading soon… Well Done Vodafoen. All you need now is stock !!

Vodas plans are the best so far,Optus wants you to pay for the phone even on a $79 cap. Most people who bought an iphone originally will be out of contract now.I cant see them doing upgrades for free for people that bought the S.cant wait till Friday.

Is it possible to get the new iPhone 4 on the $79 Unlimited Cap?
It looks like every other phone is available on that plan, and of course I don’t need the extra bonus data.

    Hi everyone,

I’m seeing a few questions are regarding the bonus data included in the plans and what it actually means.

Basically if you take the $99 Unlimited plan for instance, it gives you 2GB of included data plus an extra 1GB of included data as well. This means as a total you would get 3GB of data each month on the $99 Unlimited Cap for the period of your contract.

    Cheers

    Hi all,

I have another 12mths remaining on my contract with vodafone and am quite happy to stay with them. i plan on purchasing an iPhone outright from Apple but this all depends on if vodafone will be offering micro-sims to customers who ask for them or if they will only be available if you sign up for a new contract?

If Bonus Data is no different from the included data, why confuse everyone by calling it BONUS??

Why not just say a plan includes 2GB data rather than 1GB + 1GB bonus?

By calling it Bonus you immediately assume there are some kind of conditions that apply.
